New Working Groups (WGs) and Special Interest Groups (SIGs), and work plan 2024-2026 progress, published

Following the 2024 ENCePP Plenary and in the course of 2025, six new WGs and four SIGs were created to address continued and new priority areas for ENCePP:    

WGs: 

  • Communications and Outreach
  • Revision of the ENCePP Guide on Methodological Standards in Pharmacoepidemiology
  • Independence and Transparency
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Pharmacoepidemiology
  • Diversity and Health Equity
  • Real World Data (RWD) sources in non-interventional studies

SIGs:

  • Pragmatism in Clinical Trials
  • Update of the ENCePP Checklist for Study Protocols
  • Supplement to the Good Practice Guide for the use of the HMA-EMA Catalogues of real-world data (RWD) sources and studies
  • Publication of selected chapters of the ENCePP Guide in Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety and Value in Health

The WGs and SIGs co-chairs presented the mandates of their groups and a progress update at the December 2025 ENCePP Plenary meeting.

The ENCePP Steering Group co-chairs also provided an update on the roll-out of the 2024-2026 workplan. The Plenary report is currently under development by the ENCePP Secretariat and will be published soon.
